Tonight I passed you while you were waiting for your girlfriend out front of the Cumberland farms. She was writing her name in the snow, and you had that stance like you were ready to go. As if you wanted to end that moment and just get home, but you didn’t force her to, and that is good. It is a moment, that should the two of you ever break up and you pass another couple on the street, girl writing her name in the snow, you will think to yourself, “I know that feeling, I understand that anticipation, I love this moment.” So I tell you now, I loved that moment. I cannot say that I always enjoy being alone at this point in my life. There was so much time that I spent where I was not, but I do know that I notice a lot more moments like that one than I ever noticed before and that is my definition of beautiful.
